Utah community guide

Utah County

One big valley with mountain views, energetic cities, growing neighborhoods, college-town character, and plenty of ways to make yourself at home.

How the county fits together

One county, several distinct ways to live.

Northern Utah County connects closely with the Salt Lake employment corridor. Provo and Orem bring university energy, culture, shopping, and services to the center of the valley. Farther south, Springville, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, Salem, and Payson offer their own mix of established neighborhoods, new homes, bigger yards, and open-land views.

Your best fit may come down to the daily drive, the amount of yard you want, a favorite trail or downtown, and whether you prefer something established or brand new.
